“When a dog is in a state of high arousal, its cognitive abilities drop to near zero. Asking a reactive dog for perfect obedience in that moment is like asking someone having a panic attack to solve calculus. We must first work with physiology and emotions, and only then with behaviour.” — Dr. Suzanne Clothier
Do you get up early in the morning just to avoid everyone else? Do you change your route the moment a dog appears on the horizon? A walk that was meant to be a reset after a long day turns into a tactical exercise full of vigilance. The result is constant stress and tension at both ends of the leash.
Reactivity has its own clear patterns and biological causes. It is not your dog’s failure, nor your fault. It is a state that can be worked with effectively — once you stop treating only the symptoms and focus on the root: the emotion driving the behaviour, and the absence of a clear communication system.
After some time away, we are returning to Moravia. To Horka nad Moravou we are bringing an intensive training format built on the solid foundations of our comprehensive programme. We have taken the best of our proven ten-week curriculum, the Reactivity in Context course, and condensed it into one intensive weekend. No random exercises, no unnecessary pressure — only precise, deliberate work.
The workshop is led by the Treat Wolfdogs/Workingdogs Academy team. We are three-time graduates of the prestigious NePoPo® Gold School and members of the IACP (International Association of Canine Professionals). In our daily practice we specialise in demanding breeds, instinctive behaviour, and distinctive temperaments, always working with respect for each individual dog’s genetic predispositions.
Capacity is strictly limited to 8 teams (dog and handler). For us, the small number of participants is not a marketing tactic but a methodological necessity. For reactive dogs, ample safe space and an individual approach are essential conditions for meaningful and effective work. For spectators without a dog, who are also welcome to attend, capacity is unlimited.
Registration is available via the form below. Given the limited number of places, we recommend not delaying your registration.
A registration becomes binding upon payment of the deposit. The deposit is CZK 1,800 (team – public) or CZK 1,550 (team – TWA clients) and corresponds to half the training fee.
PLEASE NOTE: the deposit is non-refundable, but it is fully transferable to another participant, whom you arrange yourself in the event you cannot attend.
Accommodation and meals are arranged and paid for individually by participants.
Please pay the deposit only after receiving an e-mail confirming available capacity.
